Latest Little Stitches - My Little Doorstop Anni Downs Email Me February 09, 2017 Workshops Galore Hi all Sorry for the tardiness with my posts of late. I have been designing and sewIng madly, preparing a number of projects for 3 workshops I have coming up over the next few weeks. First up I am off to Hobart Tasmania for a Sunday workshop on the 26th February with Helen Stubbings (Hugs and Kisses) at her shop the Quarter Inch. I love Tasmania, just wish I could stay longer!! Then I am off on a road trip up to the sunny mid coast to Port Macquarie to Stitched and Framed for the weekend of the 4th of March. Finally I am going to visit Lynette Anderson of Lynette Anderson Designs for 2 workshops up on the lovely Sunshine Coast on the following weekend of Sunday the 12th and Monday the 13th. It is called Stitch the Day Away and I still have much to do to get ready, but can't wait! If you'd like to join me at any of these destinations there may be a few places left, so let the shop owners know if you would like to be part of the fun. For something different I am using hand dyed woven wools for all of my appliqué. I am hard at work and I thought I would show you some snippets of how it is progressing. Hope you like it. Life has been manic with shows, my shop, designing and now throwing in home schooling with my son, who, by the way, is going really well at last! Time gets away when you are not looking, so I should finally draw out the winners for an autographed copy of my new book - 'The Story of My Day'. Finally my new book is done!! I picked up some boxes of books from our local printer and snaffled the first 10 books off the printing press. I have decided to keep a copy for myself, sign the rest, and give them away. I am going to run a friendly little competition over my 3 platforms, Facebook, Instagram and Typepad, to win a signed copy of my new book - 'The Story of My Day'. I wasn't expecting this until early November, so what a great surprise! My fingers are itching to stitch with all the new prints....a very soft and gentle group.
